But at some point, you have to do what\u2019s right for yourself, your people, and your passions. People want to twist the narrative, say I\u2019ve turned my back on NASCAR or that I\u2019ve lost the drive. That\u2019s not it at all. I just care more about preserving something I love\u2014grassroots racing. Eldora matters to me. It\u2019s where I can have a real impact.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Stewart made it clear he\u2019s not bitter, just ready for a new chapter. \u201cI\u2019m not angry. I\u2019m not running from anything. I\u2019m choosing to focus where my heart is. I\u2019ve done what I set out to do in NASCAR. Now it\u2019s time to build something lasting at Eldora for the next generation of racers.
