Jeff Gordon of NASCAR Makes Jokes About Teaching His Two Teens to Drive: “Oh Boy….<\/p>\n

NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon may have conquered the racetrack, but he\u2019s facing a whole new challenge at home\u2014teaching his two teenagers how to drive. In a recent lighthearted interview, the four-time Cup Series champion joked, \u201cOh boy\u2026 I thought 200 mph on a speedway was nerve-wracking. Try sitting in the passenger seat with your teen behind the wheel!\u201d<\/p>\n

Gordon, known for his precision and calm under pressure during races, admitted that teaching his kids\u2014Ella, 16, and Leo, 14\u2014has tested his nerves in unexpected ways. \u201cI keep reaching for an imaginary brake,\u201d he laughed. \u201cAnd they keep reminding me, \u2018Dad, we\u2019re not on the track!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Despite the jokes, Gordon said he\u2019s proud of how seriously his children are taking the responsibility. \u201cThey\u2019re actually really cautious\u2014probably because they don\u2019t want to hear me give a 20-minute lecture after every stop sign.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Gordon also reflected on how surreal it feels to guide his kids through something so ordinary after a life in the spotlight. \u201cIt\u2019s a good reminder that no matter what you\u2019ve done, being a parent keeps you grounded.\u201d<\/p>\n

From pit stops to parking lots, it seems Gordon\u2019s most meaningful laps are happening right at home.<\/p>\n\n
