Rugby League Legend Makes Stunning Origin Call on ‘Sharp’ Raiders Rookie<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rugby league great Laurie Daley has sent shockwaves through the State of Origin landscape by declaring Canberra Raiders rookie Jed Stuart a future NSW Blues star. Following the youngster\u2019s composed debut in the Raiders\u2019 gutsy win over the Wests Tigers, Daley heaped praise on Stuart\u2019s performance, describing him as \u201csharp, confident, and mature beyond his years.\u201d\"\"<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s got that Origin look about him,\u201d Daley said on radio. \u201cThe kid’s tough, he defends with purpose, and he’s got great vision in attack. You can\u2019t teach that kind of instinct.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stuart, just 20, has quickly become a fan favourite in the capital after stepping up amid an injury crisis. With his calm under pressure and smart game management, many believe he could be a long-term option in the Raiders halves.<\/p>\n

Daley\u2019s comments come as NSW look to rebuild following back-to-back series losses. While Stuart\u2019s Origin debut might still be a year or two away, Daley\u2019s endorsement has put him firmly on the radar.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe reminds me a bit of a young Mitchell Pearce,\u201d Daley added. \u201cIf he keeps this up, he\u2019ll be wearing a Blues jersey sooner rather than later.\u201d<\/p>\n
