Josh\u202fPapali\u02bbi has confirmed that he will **not be playing for the Canberra Raiders beyond the end of the 2025 season**\u2014effectively marking the conclusion of his long and storied run in green ([espn.com.au][1]).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

At 33 years old, Papali\u02bbi is set to retire from the Raiders after becoming the club\u2019s all-time most capped player. Later this year, he\u2019ll surpass Jason\u202fCroker\u2019s record, finishing with at least 319 appearances ([espn.com.au][1]). Though he\u2019s eager to continue playing, Canberra won\u2019t be where that happens\u2014reports strongly suggest a move to England\u2019s Super League, with St\u202fHelens tipped as a likely destination .<\/p>\n

Papali\u02bbi emphasised his deep connection to the club and its community:<\/p>\n

He praised the loyalty Canberra has shown him\u2014especially in difficult times\u2014and said he hopes he has repaid that with his commitment and efforts on the field ([espn.com.au][1]).<\/p>\n

**What this means for the Raiders**: Canberra will soon begin planning life without their veteran prop, sourcing replacements and leadership as part of the post\u2013Papali\u02bbi era. Fans can expect to see him don the famous green one final time at GIO Stadium later this season.<\/p>\n
