Ohio State University has appointed Matt Patricia as its new defensive coordinator, succeeding Jim Knowles, who departed for Penn State. Patricia, a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), brings extensive coaching experience to the Buckeyes. He began his coaching career as a graduate assistant in 1996 and has since held significant roles, including serving as the defensive coordinator for the New England Patriots from 2012 to 2017, where he contributed to three Super Bowl victories.
