Beau Bartlett Named Big Ten Wrestler of the Week as Penn State Clinches 11th Conference Title
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State’s 141-pound standout, Beau Bartlett, has been named Big Ten Wrestler of the Week for his dominant performances over the weekend, marking the 11th award of the season for the Nittany Lions.
Bartlett’s undefeated streak continued as he went 2-0 in road duals, helping Penn State finish 8-0 in conference play and secure their 11th Big Ten Regular Season Championship. The senior took down No. 1 Jesse Mendez of Ohio State in a gritty 4-2 win, followed by a commanding 9-2 victory over No. 17 Danny Pucino of Illinois. With an impressive 17-0 record, Bartlett has racked up three pins, two tech falls, and three major decisions this season.
Penn State remains unbeaten at 14-0 and will wrap up their dual meet schedule on Friday, Feb. 21, with a 7 p.m. home showdown against American University at Rec Hall.
