Speculation is mounting as wrestling fans await confirmation on whether Penn State will participate in the inaugural National Duals Invitational, set for November 15–16, 2025, at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The event, sponsored by Paycom, will feature 16 elite NCAA Division I programs and boasts over $1 million in prize money. Participating teams are guaranteed $20,000, while the champion will take home a staggering $200,000.

Despite the excitement surrounding the tournament, Penn State’s involvement remains uncertain. Head coach Cael Sanderson has expressed reservations about the need for all top programs to join the event, implying that elite competition can still exist without every powerhouse team. This has sparked debate within the wrestling community, as many believe Penn State’s presence would elevate the competition and legitimacy of the event.

With the official roster of participating teams expected to be released by July 15, 2025, all eyes are on Penn State’s next move. As one of the most dominant programs in collegiate wrestling, their decision could significantly impact the perception and future of the National Duals Invitational. For now, the wrestling world watches and waits.
