German Heavy Metal Band Accept Says They Don’t Want Netflix “Ruining the Band’s Legacy” With a Woke Documentary…
German heavy metal band Accept has taken a firm stance against what they describe as potential “woke” interference from streaming giant Netflix, stating they have no interest in allowing a documentary that could “ruin the band’s legacy.” In a recent interview, the band expressed concern over modern narratives that prioritize social agendas over authenticity, especially in music documentaries.

“We’re proud of our history — the raw energy, the rebellion, the music,” said founding guitarist Wolf Hoffmann. “We don’t want some sanitized version of Accept’s story being told to fit today’s political correctness. That’s not who we are.”
Accept, formed in the late 1970s and known for classic tracks like Balls to the Wall, has long been celebrated for their gritty sound and no-compromise attitude. As documentaries and biopics about rock legends become more common, the band made it clear they’re not interested in what they see as a “revisionist” approach to storytelling.
“We’ve lived the rock ‘n’ roll life — the good and the bad,” Hoffmann added. “But it should be told as it happened, not reimagined to meet someone else’s narrative.”
For now, Accept says they’d rather let the music speak for itself.
