Steve O’Donnell, newly appointed President of NASCAR, recently opened up about the transition into his new role and the challenges that come with it. After serving in various leadership positions within the organization, including Chief Operating Officer, O’Donnell now finds himself at the forefront of shaping the sport’s future.

“It’s an incredible honor,” O’Donnell said. “But it’s also a huge responsibility. NASCAR is evolving, and we have to keep pace with the changing expectations of fans, teams, and partners.”
O’Donnell emphasized his commitment to innovation while maintaining the sport’s core traditions. “We’re looking at everything—from race formats to fan engagement—to make sure we’re delivering the best product possible.”
