Chris Simms Names 2 ‘Biggest Winners’ From 2025 NFL Draft…
NFL analyst Chris Simms recently highlighted two standout teams as the “biggest winners” of the 2025 NFL Draft: the New England Patriots and the Arizona Cardinals.
Simms praised the Patriots for selecting quarterback Drake Maye with the third overall pick, calling him “the most pro-ready QB in the draft.” He noted that Maye’s strong arm, poise in the pocket, and leadership qualities make him a potential franchise cornerstone. Additionally, New England bolstered their offense by drafting wide receiver Keon Coleman in the second round, giving Maye a big-bodied target to grow with.
The Arizona Cardinals also earned high marks from Simms. He applauded their selection of wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. with the fourth overall pick, calling it a “no-brainer.” Simms believes Harrison Jr. is a generational talent who will immediately elevate the Cardinals’ passing game and help quarterback Kyler Murray return to Pro Bowl form. Arizona also focused on defense in the later rounds, adding depth and athleticism.
According to Simms, both teams addressed critical needs while adding long-term talent. If these prospects develop as expected, the Patriots and Cardinals could both see major turnarounds in the coming seasons.
