Adonis Friloux, a standout defensive tackle from Tulane, has committed to Baylor University, marking the Bears’ first addition from the spring transfer portal. The NCAA’s spring transfer window runs from March 17 to April 30, and Friloux’s commitment signals Baylor’s proactive approach to strengthening their defensive line ahead of the 2025 season.

Friloux, a native of Louisiana, initially committed to Houston before flipping to Tulane in 2020. At Hahnville High School, he recorded an impressive 57 career sacks, including 23 in his senior year. His high school coach praised his dominance on the field, noting his exceptional strength, quickness, and understanding of the game .

 

During his tenure at Tulane, Friloux contributed to a defense that helped the Green Wave achieve a 9-5 record in 2024, culminating in an appearance in the Gasparilla Bowl . His transfer to Baylor not only bolsters the Bears’ defensive front but also adds experience and depth to a unit aiming for a strong performance in the upcoming season.
