Brad Keselowski: NASCAR should run a points race at North Wilkesboro, move All-Star Race….Full details

Brad Keselowski recently voiced his support for bringing a full NASCAR Cup Series points race back to North Wilkesboro Speedway, suggesting the current All-Star Race be moved elsewhere. The historic North Carolina track, which returned to the NASCAR calendar in 2023 for the All-Star Race after decades of dormancy, has garnered widespread praise from fans and drivers alike for its nostalgic charm and short-track action.

Keselowski believes the venue deserves more than just an exhibition event. “North Wilkesboro has proven it can host big events. The energy is there, the fans show up, and the racing is solid,” he said. He proposes that NASCAR should reward that success with a regular-season points-paying race, which would elevate the track’s status and give it more significance in the championship hunt.

As for the All-Star Race, Keselowski suggests it could rotate among different tracks or return to a venue like Charlotte Motor Speedway. This flexibility would allow NASCAR to spotlight different markets while preserving the unique heritage of North Wilkesboro through a meaningful race.

With growing interest in short-track racing and nostalgia for historic venues, Keselowski’s comments highlight a larger conversation about balancing tradition and innovation in NASCAR’s future scheduling.
