In a major move for the Vancouver Canucks, star forward Brock Boeser has signed a five-year contract extension with the team, securing his place in the lineup through the 2029-30 NHL season. The deal is reportedly worth $33 million, carrying an average annual value (AAV) of $6.6 million.

Boeser, 28, is coming off a career-best season where he posted 40 goals and 33 assists for 73 points, emerging as a key offensive leader for the Canucks. Drafted 23rd overall by Vancouver in the 2015 NHL Draft, Boeser has consistently contributed with his elite shot and playmaking ability, becoming a fan favorite and a cornerstone of the team’s core.

General Manager Patrik Allvin praised Boeser’s dedication and growth, stating, “Brock has shown he’s a big part of our future. His commitment, leadership, and production are exactly what we need as we continue building a championship team.”
