The upcoming documentary series titled Earnhardt, focusing on NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Sr., is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video, not Netflix. The four-part series will debut its first two episodes on May 22, 2025, with the final two episodes releasing on May 29, 2025.
Earnhardt delves into the life and career of Dale Earnhardt Sr., exploring his ascent from humble beginnings to becoming one of NASCAR’s most iconic figures. The series features rare archival footage, thrilling race highlights, and emotional interviews with his family, including his son Dale Earnhardt Jr., colleagues, and close friends. It also examines his family dynamics and his impact on the sport.
The documentary is produced by Imagine Documentaries, NASCAR Studios, and Everyone Else, in association with Dirty Mo Media. It is directed by Joshua Altman and executive produced by Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Sara Bernstein, Christopher St. John, and Justin Wilkes of Imagine Documentaries; TJ Martin and Dan Lindsay of Everyone Else; and Tim Clark and John Dahl of NASCAR Studios.
