The NASCAR Hall of Fame has announced its Class of 2026 inductees: Kurt Busch, Harry Gant, and Ray Hendrick. Busch and Gant were selected from the Modern Era Ballot, each receiving 61% of the vote, while Hendrick was chosen from the Pioneer Ballot with 31% .
Kurt Busch, 46, is celebrated for his 2004 Cup Series championship and 34 race wins, including the 2010 Coca-Cola 600 and the 2017 Daytona 500. This marks his first year on the Hall of Fame ballot .
Harry Gant, 85, known as “Handsome Harry,” secured 18 Cup Series victories, including two Southern 500 wins. He holds the record for the oldest driver to win a Cup Series race at 52 years and eight months .
Ray Hendrick, who passed away in 1990, earned over 700 wins in modified racing and was nicknamed “Mr. Modified” for his dominance in the sport .
Additionally, H.A. “Humpy” Wheeler, former executive at Charlotte Motor Speedway, received the Landmark Award for Outstanding Contributions to NASCAR. The official induction ceremony is scheduled for January 23, 2026, in Charlotte .
