In a blockbuster move signaling their commitment to youth and talent, the Las Vegas Raiders have officially signed rising star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith to a four-year rookie contract worth a reported $50 million, sources told ESPN.

Smith, the No. 1 wide receiver prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft and a standout from Ohio State, was selected with the 7th overall pick. Known for his elite speed, crisp route-running, and explosive playmaking ability, Smith is expected to become a cornerstone of the Raiders’ offense. The contract includes $32 million guaranteed and a $12 million signing bonus, making it one of the most lucrative rookie deals for a non-quarterback in recent memory.

Raiders GM Tom Telesco called Smith “a generational talent,” adding, “We believe Jeremiah will make an immediate impact and help elevate our offense to a new level.”

Smith dominated at Ohio State with over 1,300 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns in his final season, earning first-team All-American honors. Now joining a Raiders squad in the midst of a rebuild, he’s projected to be a Day 1 starter alongside veteran wideout Davante Adams, giving quarterback Aidan O’Connell an exciting new weapon.

With Smith locked in through 2029, Las Vegas fans have reason to be optimistic about the team’s future.
