Legendary Michigan Wolverines head coach Lloyd Carr has received one of college football’s highest honors — the National Football Foundation Gold Medal. The award, considered the NFF’s most prestigious distinction, recognizes individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the sport and society.

Carr, who led the Wolverines from 1995 to 2007, compiled a remarkable 122–40 record, captured five Big Ten titles, and brought home the 1997 national championship. Beyond his on-field achievements, Carr is celebrated for his unwavering integrity, leadership, and commitment to academic excellence.
