Elias Lindholm is heading back to Vancouver. The star forward has officially ended his brief stint with the Boston Bruins and signed a new three-year contract with the Vancouver Canucks, marking a significant move in the NHL offseason.

Lindholm, 29, was initially traded to the Canucks from the Calgary Flames during the 2023–24 season and played a crucial role in Vancouver’s playoff run before becoming a free agent. He then signed a short-term deal with Boston, where he impressed in a limited role. However, the Canucks remained interested in bringing him back, and on Sunday, they secured his return with a reported three-year contract worth $18 million.
Canucks GM Patrik Allvin praised Lindholm’s two-way game and leadership, calling him a “key piece” in the team’s plans moving forward. Lindholm himself expressed excitement about returning to Vancouver, stating, “It felt like home the first time. I’m thrilled to be back and ready to help this team take the next step.”
Lindholm is expected to center the Canucks’ top-six forward group, providing a strong presence both offensively and defensively. With this signing, Vancouver solidifies its roster and signals its intent to remain a contender in the Western Conference.
