Kyle Larson is NOT having a good day! Wrecks out of the Indy 500 & hits the wall and spins out a few laps later right before the halfway mark of Stage 1 in the..
On lap 91 of the 200-lap race, Larson, running 18th, lost control of his No. 17 Arrow McLaren Chevrolet entering Turn 2 after downshifting. This caused him to spin and crash into the outside wall, collecting drivers Kyffin Simpson and Sting Ray Robb in the process. Larson exited the car uninjured and acknowledged his eagerness contributed to the incident, stating, “I got a little too eager there on the restart and caused that crash” .

Despite the setback, Larson swiftly transitioned to Charlotte, North Carolina, aiming to compete in the Coca-Cola 600 later that evening. He arrived at the track in time to start on the front row alongside pole sitter Chase Briscoe .
Unfortunately, Larson’s day took another downturn during the NASCAR race. He was involved in a multi-car wreck on lap 245, ending his participation and marking the first time since 1997 that a driver failed to complete both races on the same day .
Larson’s pursuit of the Double remains a challenging feat, with only Tony Stewart having successfully completed both races in one day in 2001 .
