Riley Price Triumphs: Returns to NSW Cup Nine Months After ACL Injury

Riley Price has made a remarkable return to the field, playing his first NSW Cup match just nine months after suffering a devastating ACL injury. The 23-year-old back-rower, son of rugby league great Steve Price, was sidelined last season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament that required surgery and extensive rehabilitation.

Price’s return was met with widespread support from fans and teammates, as he took to the field with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in a match against the Western Suburbs Magpies. Despite the long layoff, Price showed no signs of hesitation, delivering a strong performance that included several key tackles and effective carries.

“It’s been a tough road, both physically and mentally,” Price said post-game. “But I’ve had an incredible support network, and I’m just grateful to be back doing what I love.”

Coaches praised his resilience and dedication throughout his rehab process, noting his commitment to returning stronger than ever. Price’s comeback is not only a personal victory but a testament to the power of perseverance in sport.

With his return to form, Price is once again in contention for higher honors and will be closely watched as he continues to build momentum in the 2025 season.
