Breaking News: Vancouver Canucks’ Brock Boeser Signs Five-Year Contract Extension

The Vancouver Canucks have locked in one of their core forwards, announcing today that Brock Boeser has signed a five-year contract extension with the team. The deal, reportedly worth $6.5 million annually, ensures that the 28-year-old winger remains a central piece of the franchise’s long-term plans.

Boeser is coming off a career-best season, posting 40 goals and 33 assists in 82 games. Known for his lethal shot and hockey IQ, Boeser’s resurgence was instrumental in the Canucks’ push to the playoffs. After battling injuries and inconsistency in previous years, the Minnesota native reasserted himself as one of the league’s premier scoring threats.

Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin praised Boeser’s growth and commitment, stating, “Brock has developed into a leader on and off the ice. His performance this season showed he’s an essential part of our team’s future.”

Boeser was originally drafted 23rd overall by the Canucks in the 2015 NHL Draft and has since amassed over 350 points in his NHL career. With this extension, the Canucks aim to solidify their core as they build toward Stanley Cup contention.

The deal underscores Vancouver’s commitment to maintaining a competitive roster while rewarding Boeser for his dedication and performance.
