Abbotsford Canucks Recap: Šilovs Shuts the Door Again, Abby Takes 2-0 Series Lead
Artūrs Šilovs stole the spotlight once more, delivering a 1-0 shutout to lift the Abbotsford Canucks over the Bakersfield Condors in Game 2 of their playoff series. With the victory, Abbotsford now holds a commanding 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series.

Šilovs was sensational between the pipes, turning aside all 34 shots he faced. His calm, composed presence gave the Canucks the edge in a tight, defensive battle that featured few high-danger chances. The only goal of the night came midway through the second period, when Tristen Nielsen buried a rebound off a sharp point shot from Christian Wolanin.
Bakersfield pushed hard in the third, but Šilovs remained unflappable, anchoring a penalty kill late in regulation to preserve the narrow lead. The Canucks’ defense, led by captain Chase Wouters and veteran Jett Woo, cleared rebounds and limited second chances.
With the win, Abbotsford is now one victory away from advancing. Šilovs has allowed just one goal through two games, continuing his stellar postseason run. Game 3 shifts to Bakersfield, where the Condors will fight to extend their season — but Šilovs is proving to be a tough wall to crack.
