Former Accept bandmates Udo Dirkschneider and Peter Baltes are proving that age is just a number as they continue to rock stages around the world. Despite decades in the heavy metal scene, the duo shows no signs of slowing down. “We’re having too much fun to even think about retiring,” Dirkschneider recently said in an interview, highlighting their enduring passion for music and performing.

Peter Baltes, who joined U.D.O. in 2023 after leaving Accept, echoed the sentiment, saying that their creative spark is stronger than ever. “There’s still a lot of music that needs to be written. We’re inspired and motivated like we were in our early days,” he said. Their chemistry, forged over decades, continues to drive their energy both onstage and in the studio.

With a new album in the works and a packed tour schedule, Dirkschneider and Baltes are embracing this chapter with enthusiasm. Fans, old and new, are responding to their renewed collaboration with overwhelming support. As they continue to deliver powerful performances and fresh material, it’s clear that retirement isn’t on the horizon. Instead, they’re focused on what they do best—creating heavy metal that stands the test of time.
