BREAKING NEWS: Joe Tapine Launches “A Hope Rising Foundation” to Empower Children with Disabilities…

Canberra Raiders star Joe Tapine has officially launched the *A Hope Rising Foundation*, a heartfelt initiative aimed at empowering children with disabilities and their families across Australia. Inspired by his own experiences as a father to a child with special needs, Tapine is using his platform to drive awareness, inclusion, and meaningful support for a community close to his heart.

The foundation, unveiled today in Canberra, will focus on providing resources, access to therapy, and inclusive recreational opportunities for children living with disabilities. Its mission is to ensure every child has the chance to thrive, regardless of the challenges they face.

“Being a parent of a child with a disability changes your perspective,” said Tapine. “It’s made me realise how many families are out there doing it tough, often without the support they deserve. I want to be part of changing that.”

*A Hope Rising Foundation* plans to collaborate with schools, health professionals, and local organisations to develop inclusive programs that foster confidence, independence, and social connection. The foundation also aims to offer educational workshops for parents, carers, and educators.

Tapine’s move has been met with strong community and league-wide support, with many praising the NRL star for using his influence to champion a vital cause. The launch event featured families, disability advocates, and Raiders teammates, all coming together in a powerful show of solidarity.

“This is about creating real change, not just raising awareness,” Tapine added. “Every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and empowered.”

The *A Hope Rising Foundation* is set to begin operations later this year, with fundraising events and community outreach already in the works. For more information or to get involved, visit [www.ahopefoundation.org](http://www.ahopefo
