Canberra Raiders star Josh Papalii has been officially nominated by his club for the 2025 Ken Stephen Medal, awarded annually to the NRL player who exemplifies outstanding community service. Papalii’s nomination was confirmed on June 24, 2025 by Raiders.com.au .

Community Leadership: As Canberra’s most-capped player, he’s known for his positive presence off the field—visiting schools, fans, and local clubs .

 

Charitable Involvement: He volunteers with organisations like Menslink and Win the Day, actively assists feeding the homeless, and is developing an NDIS-focused business to support people living with disabilities .

 

Role Model: Papalii is widely praised as a humble leader whose values and commitment embody the spirit of the award .
