BREAKING News: hold off Tigers 22-18 in dramatic NRL finish, Eels prevail …

In a heart-stopping clash at CommBank Stadium, the Parramatta Eels edged out the Wests Tigers 22-18 in a dramatic NRL encounter. The Eels looked in control for most of the match, but a late Tigers surge nearly turned the tide.

Parramatta opened strongly with tries from Clint Gutherson and Dylan Brown, establishing a 16-6 lead at halftime. However, the Tigers clawed back in the second half, with Jahream Bula and Api Koroisau crossing the line to bring the score within four points.

With under five minutes remaining, the Tigers pressed hard, but a crucial intercept by Will Penisini sealed the win for the Eels. The result keeps Parramatta’s finals hopes alive while leaving the Tigers heartbroken despite a spirited fightback.

Coach Brad Arthur praised his side’s resilience: “We made it tough for ourselves, but I’m proud of how we hung in there.”
