NRL hooker on Super League recruitment radars with quota changes imminent….
The player drawing interest is Elijah Levi (often referred to just as Levi), currently at the Canberra Raiders and off-contract at the end of the 2025 NRL season. He spent the 2022 season with Huddersfield Giants, making 30 appearances, and now is believed to be keen on a return to the Super League in 2026.

Super League clubs have traditionally been limited to seven overseas players.
In preparation for the 2026 season, the quota will be increased to ten overseas players, allowing clubs more flexibility in recruitment. The rule change was officially confirmed in Monday documents and will be effective for at least two seasons.
A pivotal council meeting is scheduled for July 15 in Wakefield where the change is expected to be formally approved.
Super League clubs are already lining up targets, including Levi, as they prepare to use the extra quota space. At least two clubs are actively interested in him, with talks ongoing pending the rule change confirmation.
Once the quota is officially expanded, teams will have significantly greater capacity to recruit NRL-based players.
