The Canberra coach has savaged his own players as their NRL season slips away….

Canberra Raiders coach Ricky Stuart has delivered a scathing assessment of his own team following another disappointing loss that leaves their NRL finals hopes hanging by a thread. In a fiery post-match press conference, Stuart accused his players of lacking toughness and taking “soft options” when it mattered most. “We’re not playing tough football. We’re not sticking to the game plan. It’s just not good enough,” he said bluntly.

The Raiders, once considered a gritty, resilient outfit, have slumped in recent weeks, raising serious questions about their mental fortitude and commitment. Stuart, known for his passionate leadership, didn’t hold back in identifying a culture problem. “Some blokes are letting the team down week in, week out,” he said, hinting at potential changes ahead.

Fans are growing increasingly frustrated as the team continues to slide down the ladder. With only a handful of rounds remaining, Canberra needs a dramatic turnaround to salvage their season. Stuart’s public challenge to his squad may be a last-ditch effort to spark a response—before it’s too late.
