Bulldogs launch probe into ‘inappropriate’ act towards much-loved fan…

 

The Canterbury Bulldogs rugby league club launched an investigation into footage showing its fans surrounding and pushing Simon Tayoun, a much-loved Canberra Raiders drummer fan, after a match at Belmore Sportsground. At least one fan appeared to tackle Tayoun from behind .

In a statement, the Bulldogs expressed that they were “profoundly disheartened by the display of intimidation and inappropriate conduct,” called the behavior “unacceptable,” and confirmed they are reviewing all available footage and reaching out to Tayoun to apologize .

 

The Raiders welcomed the investigation. They noted that Tayoun is a “valued member and supporter” widely respected across the NRL for his passion and presence at games .
