Raiders Reinforce the Ranks: Key Stars Return Ahead of Eels Showdown

The Canberra Raiders have named a powerful squad for their Round 20 clash with the Parramatta Eels, welcoming back Origin forwards Josh Papalii and Hudson Young in a major boost to their forward pack.

Papalii returns to the front row alongside Joseph Tapine, adding firepower and leadership through the middle. Hudson Young slots back into his familiar second-row position after a brief rest, having scored four tries in his last three games against the Eels—making him one to watch this Saturday at GIO Stadium.

The reshuffle sees Corey Horsburgh move to lock, with Morgan Smithies and Simi Sasagi dropping to the interchange bench to add impact off the pine. Young forwards Noah Martin and Trey Mooney make way, while Ata Mariota and Owen Pattie round out a strong bench rotation.

The backline remains unchanged from Round 18, with Kaeo Weekes holding the fullback jersey, Xavier Savage and Jed Stuart on the wings, and the dependable halves pairing of Jamal Fogarty and Ethan Strange steering the team.

With the Raiders riding a seven-game winning streak and chasing a club record eighth straight victory, the return of Papalii and Young could be decisive. Expect a fired-up Green Machine ready to make a statement.
