Albert Hopoate Set to Join Warrington Wolves in Super League for 2026

Canberra Raiders winger Albert Hopoate is reportedly set to make the move to England’s Super League, signing with the Warrington Wolves for the 2026 season. The 24-year-old speedster has agreed to terms with the Wolves, pending a medical examination, according to rugby league insider The Mole.

Hopoate began his NRL career with the Manly Sea Eagles in 2020 before moving to the Raiders, where he played 37 first-grade games and scored 13 tries over four seasons. His most productive year came in 2023, featuring in 20 matches and showcasing his attacking prowess. However, his 2024 campaign was disrupted by a serious ACL injury sustained during a NSW Cup match, which sidelined him for the rest of the season.

After being released by Canberra at the end of the 2025 season, Hopoate is preparing for a fresh start in the Super League. The move reunites him with former NRL coach Sam Burgess, who currently heads the Warrington Wolves.

This transition to the Super League presents a pivotal opportunity for Hopoate to revive his career and make a significant impact on the English rugby league scene.
