**SYDNEY, October 10, 2025** — In a move set to excite fans and shake up the 2026 NRL season, the **Manly Warringah Sea Eagles have officially confirmed the return of former star forward Marty Taupau .
After two seasons away from the club including a stint with the Brisbane Broncos Taupau, 35, has agreed to a one-year deal with Manly, marking a shock homecoming for the veteran enforcer.
Sea Eagles coach Anthony Seibold praised Taupau’s leadership and physicality, saying, “Marty brings professionalism, power, and experience. He knows what this club is about and we believe he still has plenty to offer — both on and off the field.”
Taupau played 156 games for Manly between 2016 and 2022, earning a reputation as one of the most consistent middle forwards in the game. His return comes as Manly looks to bolster its pack following the departure of several senior forwards at the end of the 2025 season.
