SAD NEWS: Manly Sea Eagles Confirm Major Setback With Departure of Another Key Player…

In a major blow to the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, the club has officially confirmed the departure of veteran forward Jake Trbojevic ahead of the 2026 NRL season. The 31-year-old, widely regarded as the heart and soul of the team, will be heading to the English Super League after signing a two-year deal with Wigan Warriors.

Trbojevic’s exit marks a significant shift for the Sea Eagles, who are already navigating a period of transition following a turbulent 2025 campaign. Known for his leadership, relentless work ethic, and defensive grit, Jake has been a cornerstone of Manly’s pack since his debut in 2013, making over 200 appearances for the club.

Sea Eagles coach Anthony Seibold expressed both gratitude and disappointment:

*“Jake’s influence on and off the field has been immense. While we’re gutted to see him go, we respect his decision and wish him the best.”*

Fans have flooded social media with tributes, many calling it “the end of an era.”

With Trbojevic’s departure, questions loom over who will step up to fill the leadership void. Manly is expected to target an experienced middle forward during the off-season as they look to rebuild for 2026.
