THE COMEBACK IN CANBERRA; Moments that made 2025 Critta’s Captain’s Knock…

In on of the standout moments of the 2025 NRL season, Bulldogs skipper Stephen Crichton produced a captain’s knock that will be remembered for years—right in the heart of a fierce battle against the Raiders in Canberra.

Facing a well-drilled and fired-up Canberra side, the Bulldogs trailed by 14 with just 20 minutes left. The Raiders had dominated much of the contest, with their forwards setting the tone and the home crowd in full voice. But Crichton, in just his first year as captain, sparked a remarkable turnaround. A solo try, a try-saver, and a composed assist brought the game level. Then, with minutes remaining, he calmly slotted a field goal to ice the win.

It wasn’t a collapse from Canberra—it was brilliance from Crichton. He didn’t just lead; he lifted an entire team. And though the Raiders were valiant, the night belonged to a player stepping into his prime.

Canberra was the stage, but the performance was pure Critta.
