Canberra Raiders forward Corey Horsburgh has sustained an estimated $1000,000 worth of damage to his property following a severe weather incident that swept through the ACT region late on Tuesday night.

According to sources close to the club, Horsburgh’s Canberra residence was significantly affected after intense storms brought heavy rain and damaging winds, leading to structural harm and extensive water damage throughout the property. Emergency services were reportedly called to several nearby homes as fallen trees and debris caused widespread disruption.

The Raiders confirmed Horsburgh was not injured during the incident and has since returned to training, though the clean-up and assessment process remains ongoing. Insurance assessors were seen at the property on Wednesday morning to evaluate the full extent of the damage, which is believed to include roofing, internal fittings, and personal belongings.

Club officials said the forward has received strong support from teammates and staff, with welfare services made available as he works through the aftermath. “Corey’s focus is on footy, but these things can be stressful,” a club spokesperson said.

Despite the setback, Horsburgh is expected to be available for selection this weekend, with no impact anticipated on his on-field performance as the Raiders continue their campaign.
