Breaking News: Brock Boeser Signs Five-Year Extension with Vancouver Canucks

The Vancouver Canucks have solidified a key piece of their core, announcing today that forward Brock Boeser has signed a five-year contract extension. The deal ensures Boeser, 28, will remain with the club through the 2029-30 NHL season. Financial terms were not officially disclosed, but sources indicate the contract carries an average annual value (AAV) of approximately $6.5 million.

Boeser, who was selected 23rd overall by Vancouver in the 2015 NHL Draft, is coming off a career-best season in which he tallied 40 goals and 33 assists for 73 points in 82 games. His consistent scoring touch and improved two-way play have made him a fan favorite and a critical part of the team’s offensive attack.

“Brock has shown tremendous growth both on and off the ice,” said Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin. “We believe he’s just entering his prime and will continue to be a big part of our team’s success moving forward.”

Boeser’s extension signals Vancouver’s commitment to maintaining a competitive roster built around a talented young core. With this signing, the Canucks continue to shape a future poised for deep playoff contention in the years to come.
