Raiders forwards, Tigers back charged by MRC…
The NRL Match Review Committee (MRC) has handed down charges following the fiery clash between the Canberra Raiders and Wests Tigers. Raiders forwards Joseph Tapine and Emre Guler have both been cited for incidents during the match, while Tigers fullback Jahream Bula also found himself in trouble.

Tapine was charged with Grade 1 Dangerous Contact for a late shot on a kicker and faces a monetary fine with an early guilty plea. Guler, meanwhile, was slapped with a Grade 1 Contrary Conduct charge for an off-the-ball incident, also attracting a fine unless he challenges at the judiciary.
On the Tigers’ side, Bula was cited for a high tackle deemed careless. The Grade 1 charge means he can avoid suspension with an early plea but will need to tread carefully, with loading from prior offenses potentially increasing his penalty.
The match, which saw the Raiders hold off a fast-finishing Tigers side to claim their fifth straight win, was played with intensity and physicality. While none of the charges carry suspensions unless contested and unsuccessful, the MRC’s findings highlight the edge both teams played with as they fought for crucial midseason momentum.
