Havili wants more minutes as Raiders hooker | NRL.com…

 

Debut in Round 1: Siliva Havili impressed on his Canberra Raiders debut against the Gold Coast Titans. He scored in the third minute and delivered crisp service from dummy-half, helping the Raiders establish an early lead .

Eager for more game time: After playing a significant portion, Havili said,

 

> “That’s the goal (to play more minutes)… I want to play more minutes and get used to the pace of the NRL… I felt like I had more to give when I came off…”

 

Coach’s discretion: Head coach Ricky Stuart—known as “Stick”—would determine his role, and his bench minutes were partly to integrate him into the system alongside halves like Aidan Sezer, Blake Austin, and Sam Williams .

 

Solid rookie season: Havili logged 80-minute games while filling in for Josh Hodgson during Hodgson’s knee recovery .

 

Contract extension: His strong performances earned him a contract through 2020 .

 

Post‑Raiders career: As of June 28, 2025, Havili plays as hooker for the South Sydney Rabbitohs. He made 80 appearances for Canberra (2018–21) before moving to South Sydney in 2022, and he also has represented Tonga and New Zealand internationally .
