Kyle Flanagan: I thought I deserved at least a point from Lewey …
Kyle Flanagan has admitted he was left slightly puzzled after failing to receive a Dally M point in the Dragons’ recent clash against the Raiders — despite what he believes was one of his strongest performances in a Red V jersey.

The Dragons playmaker, who steered the team around impressively in the narrow loss, made a subtle yet cheeky reference to Dally M judge Brett Kimmorley, nicknamed “Lewey”, saying:
“I thought I deserved at least a point from Lewey, but maybe he was watching a different game.”
Flanagan finished the match with a try assist, several crucial kicks, and led the team during key moments with composure. However, it wasn’t enough to catch the eye of the judges.
While disappointed, Flanagan insisted he’s more focused on improving week to week than chasing individual accolades: “It’s not about points for me — I just want to help this team win. But yeah, it would’ve been nice.”
His coach and teammates echoed support, suggesting Flanagan’s contributions are finally starting to silence critics and define his role in the Dragons’ spine.
