Tufuga: It’s going to be a really good battle…..
Blues forward Cameron Tufuga is fired up for what he calls “a really good battle” ahead of Wednesday’s State of Origin decider. As NSW prepares to face Queensland in the high-stakes clash at Suncorp Stadium, Tufuga believes the showdown will be physical, fast-paced, and fiercely contested.
“This is what you play the game for,” said Tufuga. “You want to test yourself against the best on the biggest stage. It’s going to be brutal, but we’re ready.”
With Maroons enforcer Josh Papalii making a surprise return, Tufuga knows the middle will be where the match is won and lost. “Papalii brings so much experience and power. We’ve got to match that intensity early and not back down.”
Tufuga, who’s been a standout performer throughout the series, says the Blues’ preparation has been “sharp and focused” as they chase their first Origin series win in three years.
“We’re not just here to compete – we’re here to win. It’s going to be a battle, and we’re embracing it.”
Kick-off is set for 8:10 PM AEST, with the Origin shield and bragging rights on the line.
