‘We want to win a comp’: Raiders chasing best record in 30 years as stars set to re-sign…

The Canberra Raiders are on a mission to secure their best NRL regular season record in over 30 years as they eye a premiership push. Currently sitting in the top four, the Raiders are fueled by momentum and confidence under coach Ricky Stuart. With several key players, including Jack Wighton and Joseph Tapine, reportedly close to re-signing, the club is building stability for a strong finals campaign.

“We want to win a comp,” said co-captain Elliott Whitehead. “That’s been our goal all season, and we’re putting ourselves in a great position.”

The Raiders haven’t finished this high on the ladder since their 1995 campaign, and the current squad is embracing the pressure and expectations. The forward pack is dominating, young guns like Xavier Savage are stepping up, and the culture within the club is thriving.

Ricky Stuart praised the group’s resilience and unity: “These boys are special. They work for each other every week.”

With re-signings looming and finals footy around the corner, Canberra looks determined to break their title drought and etch their names into club history.
