Huddersfield Giants swoop to sign forward from Down Under as length of contract confirmed
Huddersfield Giants have confirmed the signing of forward Chris Patolo from the Manly Sea Eagles on a two-year contract, running through to the end of the 2027 Super League season.

Patolo, 24, brings with him a solid NRL pedigree, having made 27 first-grade appearances for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs. While he did not feature in NRL games for Manly during 2025, he was a regular in the NSW Cup, where he played 20 matches, scored one try, and averaged 92 metres per game with roughly 96.5% tackle efficiency.
Huddersfield head coach Luke Robinson praised Patolo’s size, defensive abilities and mobility, saying he’ll “add size to the pack,” win the ruck, and bring a physical presence in the middle. Patolo himself expressed excitement about the move, calling the Super League a big challenge and saying he’s ready to settle in with his new teammates and the Huddersfield community.
The deal adds depth to Huddersfield’s forward pack as they prepare for the 2026 campaign and beyond.
