Bad Tidings: “Just Now” Two Canberra Raiders Star Players Suspended for ……

In a major blow to the Canberra Raiders, star players Joseph Tapine and Xavier Savage have both been handed suspensions, leaving the club scrambling to adjust its lineup ahead of upcoming NRL fixtures.

Co-captain Joseph Tapine, a vital force in the forward pack, has accepted a two-match ban following a dangerous contact charge stemming from the Raiders’ recent high-stakes clash. Tapine’s aggressive playing style, while usually an asset, crossed the line according to the NRL Match Review Committee. His absence will leave a gaping hole in the Raiders’ middle rotation.

Adding to Canberra’s woes, electric winger Xavier Savage has also been sidelined. The speedster, known for his explosive runs and try-scoring prowess, received a one-game suspension after being found guilty of a careless high tackle. His omission significantly weakens the Raiders’ attacking options out wide.

With both players unavailable, coach Ricky Stuart faces a tough challenge in reshuffling the squad. The Raiders, who are vying for a spot in the top eight, can ill afford to lose momentum as the season intensifies.

Fans will be hoping the rest of the squad can rally and maintain form in the absence of two of their brightest stars.
