The long-awaited and often-rumored “lost” album Look Outside Your Window is finally set to see the light of day, with an official release scheduled for Record Store Day on April 18, 2026. The project was originally recorded back in 2008 by key members of Slipknot—including Corey Taylor, Shawn Crahan, Jim Root, and Sid Wilson—during the same period the band was working on their heavier material.
However, unlike Slipknot’s signature aggressive sound, this album explores a more experimental and melodic direction, offering fans a completely different listening experience. Over the years, the project gained a near-mythical status among fans, with many wondering if it would ever be released.
Now officially confirmed, the album will not be released under the Slipknot name.
